Susan Hockaday has had over 40 solo exhibits, and participated in many group shows. Her artwork is included in many public and private collections.
She has lived and worked in Holland and England, and in 1983 she toured China, giving slide show talks on “Art Now in New York”. (The audiences were agog.)
In 1974 she was awarded the WK Rose Fellowship from Vassar, to support her art practice and set up a studio. She also received two Fellowships from the New Jersey Council on the Arts.
She was represented by SOHO20 Gallery for 15 years, and continues with them online. While living in Princeton she taught art and was active on the boards of several arts organizations. She was also active in community planning, adult education, and politics.
